The Guntersville Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and play against the Ramsay Rams at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Guntersville extended their postseason success on Friday against Pleasant Grove. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 31-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Guntersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Morrison, who threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing scores.
Moody typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Ramsay proved too difficult a challenge. Ramsay walked away with a 40-27 victory over Moody. The victory was familiar territory for Ramsay who now have seven in a row.
Kameron Keenan had a dynamite game for Ramsay, throwing for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Ashton Ashford and his 104 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Ramsay's victory.
Guntersville's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Ramsay, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Guntersville took a serious blow against Ramsay in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 45-9. Can Guntersville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
