The Leto Falcons lost against the Lennard Longhorns back in November of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Leto was outmatched by Lennard at home and fell 62-19. Leto has struggled against Lennard recently, as their contest on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Leto had strong showings from Lizbeth Rivera, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Sanaai Taylor, who scored five points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 63.2% of Leto's points, marking the 19th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Leto has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Lennard, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.
Leto will take on Countryside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Leto is coming into the match with ten straight losses on the road, meaning Countryside will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Lennard, they will square off against Armwood at TBD on Monday. Lennard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Armwood is ranked 161st).
