The Center Cougars will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Center posted their biggest win since December 9, 2023 on Monday. They claimed a resounding 75-28 victory over Lindhurst on the road. With Center ahead 47-18 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Johnson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Terrill Reid was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges entered their tilt with Sutter with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Twelve Bridges took down Sutter 60-42 on Monday. Given Twelve Bridges' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Sutter is ranked 527th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Center now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Twelve Bridges, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
Center suffered a grim 65-42 defeat to Twelve Bridges in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
