Yulee is on a nine-game streak of home losses, the Braves an 11-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Yulee Hornets will take on the Parker Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Yulee pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-56 to Bishop Snyder. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Yulee in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Macey Reynolds, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rheyna Hilton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Yulee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 13 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-9, which was the final score in Parker's tilt against the Crusaders on Tuesday. Parker was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.
Yulee has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. As for Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Yulee was dealt a bruising 59-19 defeat at the hands of the Braves in their previous meeting back in February of 2019. Will Yulee have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
