Given Southern Choctaw's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Linden is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marcionna Young continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Madison Hill, who scored 6 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.
The win (which was Southern Choctaw's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.33 points. As for Linden, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
