 At the plate,  Averie Lopez '27 was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordyn Guzman '25, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Cupertino had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp  18-1 win. Cupertino might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by seven  runs or more this season.
  DJ Martinez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Martinez was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Purani Muthuvedi was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases, six  RBI,  and a  run.  Talitha Vaughn was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 The  victory  got Santa Clara back to even at 4-4. As for Cupertino, their win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
