Volleyball Recap: Columbus Has No Trouble Against Glenwood

Columbus can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Glenwood Gators with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Columbus was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-19.

Columbus found their leader in sophomore Sophia Dinh, who had nine digs and three aces.

Columbus was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Glenwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Columbus and Northgate will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenwood, they will face off against Chipley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
