Iberia has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Versailles Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Iberia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
Last Monday, Iberia was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to Vienna.
Despite their defeat, Iberia saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alexa Rowden, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Rowden's third in a row with at least ten points. Acelyn Bauer was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Even though they lost, Iberia were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Versailles, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to Knob Noster on Friday.
Iberia's record now sits at 4-3. Versailles' record is now 1-6.
Iberia strolled past Versailles in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 56-38. Will Iberia repeat their success, or does Versailles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
