Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Excel Christian Academy

Excel Christian Academy entered their tilt with Christian Home Educators on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Christian Home Educators Knights 57-43. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 14 points.

Excel Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Luke Kelley posted 18 points and Kaiden Ward had 16 points. The contest was Ward's third in a row with at least ten points. Jay Wyatt Hoskins was another key player, putting up eight points.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tristan Hall, who scored 11 points and eight rebounds. Hall is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Snyder, who put up nine points.

Excel Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Christian Home Educators, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
