While Marina didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the York Falcons, posting a 60-11 win. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 41 points or more this season.

Marina's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Martin, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, nine boards, and 13 steals. Martin has been hot recently, having posted six or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shekinah Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals.

The win was the third in a row for Marina, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points per game. As for York, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Marina will square off against Anzar at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Marina has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for York, they will take on Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
