The Bishop Hartley Hawks will challenge the Big Walnut Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Hartley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Bishop Hartley will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Bishop Watterson, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hawks came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Wednesday.
Jasmine Wooten spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Bailey, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Big Walnut made sure to put some runs up on the board against Westerville South on Monday. The Golden Eagles blew past the Wildcats 16-4. Considering the Golden Eagles have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Kennedy Reed made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Big Walnut got a massive performance out of Myka Marriott, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Sarah Adams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Big Walnut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .548. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Bishop Hartley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Big Walnut, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.
Big Walnut's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bishop Hartley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Big Walnut, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Bishop Hartley's sizable advantage in that area, the Golden Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
