Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bonita

Bonita waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Diamond Bar Brahmas. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-1 win last Thursday.

Daniel Nageer and Camden Farina dominated on the mound. Nageer struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits, while Farina tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Farina gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024.

At the plate, Bonita got a big performance out of Cody White, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave White a new career-high. Brady Horn was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Bonita hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Diamond Bar struck out 11 times.

Bonita's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Diamond Bar, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonita will challenge Claremont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Diamond Bar, they will square off against Glendora at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Diamond Bar is facing Glendora at the right time seeing as Glendora is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
