The Lakewood Gators fell victim to the Crestwood Knights''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. Lakewood has struggled against Crestwood recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Azarian Yates, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Josaun Anderson was in the mix as well, providing Crestwood with two touchdowns.
Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Crestwood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crestwood will look to defend their home field on Friday against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. Orangeburg-Wilkinson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Crestwood is ranked 22nd).
