The Aberdeen Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Elkton at home by a decisive 79-61 margin. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Aberdeen lost, one person who can't be blamed is DARION PARRIS. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. PARRIS scored a full 52.5% of Aberdeen's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was AUSTIN CARTER, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals.
Aberdeen has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Elkton, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Aberdeen will challenge Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Patterson Mill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Aberdeen likes a good challenge. Elkton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Edgewood on January 9th.
