South Point has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Crest Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Point has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 776 points over their last 11 matchups.
After soaring to a 20-point win in their last game, South Point came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Huss by a score of 62-59. South Point has struggled against Huss recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Christian Petty, who scored 12 points. Graham Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Crest gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Stuart W. Cramer 82-56. Crest pushed the score to 65-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Stuart W. Cramer cut but never quite recovered from.
South Point's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Crest, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.
South Point came up short against Crest when the teams last played back in January, falling 63-57. Can South Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
