Warren East faced Greenwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Raiders took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Jordan Brooks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Lydia Jones was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Warren East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Greenwood, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren East will square off against Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenwood, they will challenge Allen County-Scottsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
