The Mead Panthers will venture away from home to  face off against the University Titans  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Mead is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Mead barely beat Central Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp  5-0 victory on Monday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mead's considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Central Valley are ranked 164th).
Mead hit Central Valley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from  Rylee Vanos (2),  Reese Rogers,  Brooke Rogers,  and  Olivia Berry.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of three wins, University's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They took  a  4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Spokane.
 Mead's win bumped their record up to 7-2-3. As for University, their  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-3.
 Mead beat University by a goal  in their previous matchup  back in September, winning  1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
