The Accelerate Christian Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Holy Cross 59-42 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Accelerate Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Accelerate Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Myers out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Myers has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jaxon Leyendecker was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.
Accelerate Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Holy Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Accelerate Christian will head out on the road to face off against Christ Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Holy Cross Academy at 12:30 p.m. on January 20th.
