The South Cobb Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Washington Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Cobb is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
South Cobb will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Mays on Monday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over the Raiders.

Kennedi Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in August of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, South Cobb got a massive performance out of Gabby Kitchens, who fired off three triples, eight RBI, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-4. Those three triples gave Kitchens a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tellann Brown, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs.
South Cobb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .906. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Washington lost 18-3 to Therrell on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DaeJa Hines, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Hines has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
South Cobb's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. South Cobb has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Washington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
