The Dripping Springs Tigers lost against the Austin Maroons back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dripping Springs received a tough blow as they fell 46-27 to Austin. Dripping Springs has struggled against Austin recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Austin to victory were Jill Shirk and Kemah Shaw. Shirk scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Shaw scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Shaw hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Foley Anderson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Dripping Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Austin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-17.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the court. Dripping Springs will head out to face Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Austin will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
