The Canyon Lake Hawks will challenge the Bandera BULLDOGS at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bandera took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Canyon Lake, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Canyon Lake turned things around against Long Creek on Tuesday. They blew past the Dragons 3-0.
Canyon Lake never let Long Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Bandera was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against Fredericksburg, falling 3-0.
While Bandera had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-21.
Canyon Lake will have to contain Sydney Moore as she made an impact in Bandera's last game. She had nine kills, eight digs, four aces, and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Taytum Moeller, who had 15 digs and two assists.
Bandera's loss dropped their record down to 13-27. As for Canyon Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 20-14.
Everything went Canyon Lake's way against Bandera when the teams last played back in September, as Canyon Lake made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the BULLDOGS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
