The Galloway Scots suffered their biggest defeat since November 17, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 66-43 loss to St. Francis might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Galloway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while St. Francis is ranked 173rd).
Despite the loss, Galloway still got an impressive performance from Fielden Winn, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Winn has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Johnson, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Galloway and nudges their season record down to 4-13. As for St. Francis, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
Galloway will square off against Walker at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Walker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Galloway likes a good challenge. St. Francis will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Discovery at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Discovery has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16.
