Harrison County had already won seven in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Mercer County Titans 12-1.

At the plate,  Persinger  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4, while  Ross  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  runs  Persinger has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Emma Hamm and  Owyn McCoy did most of the damage at the plate:  Hamm  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4, while  McCoy  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. What's more,  McCoy posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aleigha Newby, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Harrison County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .441. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
Harrison County pushed their record up to 2-0 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
