Brother Rice extended their winning streak to 13 on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 14-1 in the process. Everything went their way against the Maine South Hawks as they made off with a 10-2 win. Considering the Crusaders have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Brother Rice got a great performance from Aidan Dillon as he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Dillon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Colin Campbell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Cartolano, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
As for Maine South, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. They haven't had much luck with Brother Rice recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
On Maine South's side, they got a good showing from Jack Gianikos, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Gianikos gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
