The Bloomingdale Blazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 26 points or more this season. They blew past Ignite Athletics 54-28. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Bloomingdale has scored all year.
Bloomingdale's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb McClung, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Sutton Roten, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Flames players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Hanks, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Whittington, who scored six points.
The victory (which was Bloomingdale's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.33 points. As for Ignite Athletics, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomingdale will take on West Logan Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ignite Athletics, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Belpre Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th.
