 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Caitlan Bland, who  went 4-for-4 with a  home run and three  runs. Bland is crushing it when it comes to  home runs: she's   launched at least one every time she's  taken the field this season.  Kaydence Connell was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Sylacauga's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Shelby County,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Sylacauga will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Jemison at 5:30  p.m. As for Shelby County, they will head out on the road to  take on  Leeds at 10:30  a.m.  on Saturday.
