Given Carver High School of Engineering & Science's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Paul Robeson is ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Anthony Brown was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Matthew Mcfield was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Northeast entered their tilt with Great Oaks with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Northeast really took it to Great Oaks for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-23 victory at home. Northeast has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 33 points or more this season.
Carver High School of Engineering & Science pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
