In what's become a running theme this season, the Four Corners Coyotes gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Hope Academy with a sharp 63-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Four Corners has posted since December 4, 2023.
Four Corners' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karina Cruz, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mia Villanueva, who scored 19 points along with nine assists and five steals.
The win got Four Corners back to even at 7-7. As for Hope Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Four Corners and Ridgeview Global Studies Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Ridgeview Global Studies Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday. As for Hope Academy, they will be playing at home against East Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Ridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
