The Black Hills Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Tenino for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-27 victory at home. Black Hills might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Black Hills got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Venable out in front who scored 16 points along with seven steals and six assists. The matchup was Venable's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Ashley Harris was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Black Hills' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Tenino, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Black Hills won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hoquiam at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hoquiam will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Black Hills is ranked 32nd). Tenino will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Montesano at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
