Even though the Fortune Early College Panthers scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Rodriguez Mustangs still came out on top. Rodriguez put the hurt on Fortune Early College with a sharp 84-60 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Rodriguez, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rodriguez can attribute much of their success to Jamar Missiouri, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Burnett, who scored 16 points.
Rodriguez now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fortune Early College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Rodriguez is on the road again on Saturday and play against Merced at 4:30 p.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Merced is ranked 423rd, while Rodriguez is ranked 424th). As for Fortune Early College, they will take on Hug at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
