The Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Southeast. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bishop Carroll also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Southeast's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ma'khiyah Jones, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alana Webb, who scored 22 points.
Bishop Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Bishop Carroll will look to defend their home court on Friday against East. As for Southeast, they will head out on the road to face off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Southeast are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
