In what's become a running theme this season, the Cottage Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tapestry Charter 44-12 at home. The victory was nothing new for Cottage as they're now sitting on six straight.
Cottage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabby Pressnall out in front who scored ten points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Love, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Cottage is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Tapestry Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cottage won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. Covenant Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Tapestry Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. Howard's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so the Titans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
