On Friday, things could have been worse for Rockvale, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-50 loss to Nolensville. While losing is never fun, Rockvale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Nolensville is ranked 37th).
When it comes to explaining why Rockvale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaiah Breeden. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Breeden scored 15 or more points. Imari Dewberry was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Rockvale now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Nolensville, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Rockvale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Humboldt at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. One thing working in Humboldt's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. Nolensville will be home for the holidays to greet LaVergne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. LaVergne is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
