After flying high against Albemarle last Tuesday, North Stanly came back down to earth. The North Stanly Comets fell 78-68 to the Anson Bearcats on Thursday. It was another big night for Jayden Little, who went 12-for-16 on his way to 32 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Anson. Little has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 40 times he's played. Taviane Robinson was another key player, dropping a triple-double with 11 points, 11 boards, and ten blocks.
North Stanly's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Anson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.
Coming up, North Stanly will challenge Gray Stone Day at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. North Stanly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Gray Stone Day likes a good challenge.
