After losing to Grangeville the last time they met, Orofino decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Maniacs put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp  16-7 victory on Monday. Considering the Maniacs have won 12 matches by more than eight  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Sady Olive and  Kennedy Coleman made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Olive   pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Coleman   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Olive has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Olive  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Coleman  went 3-for-4 with one  run. That's the most  hits  Olive has posted  over her last ten  contests.
 In other batting news, Orofino let  Sierra Tondevold and  Maddy Waters run wild. Tondevold  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Waters  went 2-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Waters has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rilee Diffin, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Orofino  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .558. They are 9-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The  win made it two in a row for Orofino and  bumps their season record up to 15-8. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Grangeville, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-11.
As of now, neither Orofino nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
