After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Gladstone, Marquette was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Calumet Copper Kings  a   1-0 shutout. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Sentinels as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Marquette's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Gib Jezewski, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  run. That  triple marked the first that  Jezewski has  hit this season.
