The Vero Beach Indians and the Jupiter Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Vero Beach Indians had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-33 walloping at the hands of the Warriors. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Vero Beach has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Vero Beach had strong showings from Jaylen Shelly, who scored 12 points, and Emmanuel Guirand, who scored four points along with five steals. Guirand is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Vero Beach has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Jupiter, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
Vero Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jupiter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Treasure Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jupiter is on a four-game streak of home wins, Treasure Coast a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
