After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Minor, the Cornerstone Eagles were happy to have found some success  on Monday. They walked away with  a   42-35  victory over Altamont. That's another feather in the cap for Cornerstone, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Cornerstone found their leader in underclassman  Kye Fincher, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 11  rebounds. Fincher has been hot recently, having posted two or more  blocks the last four times she's  played.  Kemberly Roscoe was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points along with seven  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Altamont's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Abbey Sellers, who  scored eight points, and  Betsy Connor who  scored eight points.
 Cornerstone has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Altamont, they are  on a five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-10.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone will take on the Eagles at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Altamont, they won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against the Knights at 6:00  p.m.  on January 30th. Westminster School at Oak Mountain is coming into the  contest on a three-game losing streak.
