The Calvary Day School Cougars will venture away from home to  face off against the Parkland Mustangs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Calvary Day School has four straight  wins, Parkland has nine straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It was a proper cat-fight when Calvary Day School took on Westchester Country Day on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of  20-17.
 Patrick Reynolds and  Kaden Christian were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Reynolds   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Meanwhile,  Christian   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Reynolds also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Calvary Day School is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 4-5 otherwise. At bat,  Reynolds  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Christian  went 1-for-5 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. The dominant performance also gave  Reynolds a new career-high in  RBI (three).

 In other batting news,  Matthew Harrell and  Austin Setliff did most of the damage at the plate:  Harrell  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances, while  Setliff  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  Setliff a new career-high in  doubles (two).  Jake Parnell also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  runs of the season.
 Meanwhile, Parkland lost  19-1 to Glenn on Tuesday.
 Calvary Day School now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Parkland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.
 Calvary Day School took their  victory against Parkland  when the teams last played  back in March of 2016 by a conclusive  19-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
