Basketball Recap: Central City Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

Central City had won 12 straight road games dating back to last season and Sydni Homolka did her part to make it 13 on Thursday. The Central City Bison took their game with ease, bagging a 61-30 win over the Fillmore Central Panthers thanks in part to Homolka, who went 7 for 17 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Hope Paup also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two).

Central City is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Fillmore Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Central City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-26 victory against Arcadia/Loup City on the 10th. As for Fillmore Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-48 loss against Superior on the 11th.
