The Bennett County Warriors lost against the St. Francis Indian Warriors back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bennett County was beaten by St. Francis Indian 82-50. Bennett County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Francis Indian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cante Kills In Water led the charge by scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kills In Water has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Spotted Tail, who scored 19 points.
Bennett County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Francis Indian, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennett County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hay Springs at 4:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hay Springs is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60 points per game this season. As for St. Francis Indian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis Indian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
