The West Craven Eagles had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a  50-38  victory over North Pitt. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
 West Craven's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   DJ Davis, who threw for 235 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of  Malik Brown, who gained 144 total yards and three touchdowns.
 Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Juhron Clemmons, who gained 309 total yards. Clemmons' longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards. Another player making a difference was  Famous Wilson, who threw for 285 yards and four touchdowns.
 West Craven's victory was  their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points per game. As for North Pitt, their defeat  dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Craven will  face off against SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00  p.m.  on October 27th. One thing working in SouthWest Edgecombe's favor is that they have now posted big  point totals  in their last four contests. As for North Pitt, they will head out on the road to face off against Farmville Central at 7:00  p.m.  on October 27th.
