Baseball Recap: West Florence Has No Trouble Against East Clarendon

While West Florence put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for East Clarendon. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Wolverines. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fischer Hartman was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Cooper Coleman also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

West Florence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Clarendon only posted an OBP of .176.

West Florence pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for East Clarendon, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.

Coming up, West Florence will be playing at home against Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Clarendon, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tyler at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
