The Glendora Tartans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bonita 51-48. Given Glendora's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Bonita is ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glendora had a senior duo take command as Rylie Anderson scored 16 points along with three steals and Addison Martin dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Herrmann, who scored six points along with two steals.
Glendora pushed their record up to 20-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Bonita, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Glendora will head out on the road to take on Ayala at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Bonita, they will be playing at home against Colony at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
