The Raton Tigers will face off against the Estancia Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Raton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Raton made easy work of Cimarron and carried off a 15-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Brayden Decker was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Tapia, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Raton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Estancia lost 27-6 to Tucumcari on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Rattlers: they've now lost three in a row.

Estancia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Rubio, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Rubio's first of the season. Joshua Villafuerte was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Raton's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Estancia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Raton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Estancia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Raton skirted past Estancia 5-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2015. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
