The Collinwood Trojans entered their tilt with the Central Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Collinwood blew past the Wildcats 54-24 on the road on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Collinwood also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are 2-3 when they just don't pass the ball.
Collinwood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinwood will challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hughes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Trojans are ranked 149th). As for Central, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lauderdale County will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
