Pottsboro came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Howe Bulldogs. The two-run effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Pottsboro's victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Howe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Pottsboro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against Muenster on the 29th. As for Howe, they will square off against Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Howe surely won't give up without a fight.
