The Cottage Cougars can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 51-15 victory over Atlanta Area School for the Deaf on the road. With Cottage ahead 28-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Maxwell Lagan, who scored 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Kershner, who scored three points along with seven steals.
The win got Cottage back to even at 11-11. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Cottage will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bears at 5:30 p.m.
