Two dominant  signal callers in  Malachi Wilt and  Blake Roskopf are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Verrado Vipers will take on the Desert Edge Scorpions at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Verrado knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Desert Edge likes a good challenge.
Verrado is probably headed into the  game with a chip on their shoulder considering Millennium just ended the team's  four-game winning streak  on Friday. They took  a  45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The  matchup was a  17-17 toss-up at halftime, but the Vipers couldn't quite close it out.

 The losing side was boosted by   Wyatt Locke, who picked up 119 receiving yards and two  touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 78 yards.  Travis Kamp also helped out with an impressive 84  receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Desert Edge strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They walked away with  a   29-21  win over Canyon View.
 The match pitted two dominant  signal callers against one another in  Roskopf and  Brady Scott. Roskopf had a great game and threw for 370 yards and four  TDs. Meanwhile,  Scott did his best for the losing side, throwing for 126 yards and three  touchdowns.
 The  loss was their first  on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Desert Edge, their record is now 6-0.
 Verrado came up short against Desert Edge in their previous matchup  back in November of 2024, falling  27-14. Can the Vipers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
