The Altamonte Christian Eagles will be playing at home against the Liberty Christian Prep Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Altamonte Christian took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 52-24 win over Hope Academy. Given Altamonte Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Hope Academy is ranked 520th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Altamonte Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayleigh Cooper led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 18 points, 10 assists, and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Alexis Hill, who scored 8 points along with 18 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty Christian Prep made easy work of Eastland Christian on Friday and carried off a 39-15 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty Christian Prep.
The losses dropped Altamonte Christian to 8-1 and Hope Academy to 0-4.
